photos & report
On 24 September was Singapour Airlines with from FRA to JFK in NY, along with a fire brigade colleagues (One two days later met) and my girlfriend. went
With a Hertz rental car directly to Philadelphia in the North America Inn and a few hours later on the German-American banquet. On Canstatter club, where the food we received was held David Kearney (GAFA president and Fire Fighter Ladder 16 PFD) and his wife Sue and other friends of David. The number of participants in recent years has fallen and the program extremely well also. Special I can not tell from the banquet. The next day we went to the Steuben Parade, which this year was extremely short and the waiting times were much longer before and during the parade as the actual march. How many other clubs, has also lost the German American Society in Philadelphia members and support. David Kearney's children went to the advance GAFA banners, behind David Kearney, S. Bastian (my colleague / friend) and myself. The photo (above) is received by us from my friend. These two days were the only two days where we had had anything to do with fire (except another brief visit to a New York Guard and the visit of the FDNY Stores. What I would like to bring to you would be patches, but there are honestly apparently little or no special badge of the individual guards. I have with my two colleagues FW and my girlfriend in tow 10 guards in Manhattan scoured and not even had a badge and only 2 had T-shirts for sale. Unfortunately, the FDNY Store has offered only the standard coat of arms for sale, but almost every fireman in the world possesses.

Then we went to Atlantic City to see the sea and also to see once the casinos (have even 50 dollars was spent on the roulette and have been out with $ 110 ...) and then it went to Washington DC As we looked at the White House (the allegedly by a German company ink supplies, when a new coat of paint is present) and the Capitol and in the Air and Space Museum (which is free is gone). The 2-day visit to DC was very worthwhile. We have seen a lot and the city (downtown) is clean and attractive. The suburbs we have not seen to be honest.

The last four days before we fly to FRA again we had to have in NYC spent in a hostel in which we thankfully had 2 double rooms instead of a large bedroom. In NYC itself, we have purchased the City Pass and really made everything thing to do. MoMa, Empire State Building, Rockefeller, the Museum of Modern Art Metropolitian Museum, 5th Ave down run up and ate at Planet Hollywood, Times Square looked at several times the ferry to Staten Iceland (which is free), statue of Liberty Ellis Iceland and Central Park plays back much caught up with too many impressions and forget what I've done a lot, unfortunately.
see the next time when I will fly again, but I will definitely not pack as much into a 10-day holiday (-:
And a link where I exhibit, all photos of leave follows, of course,
