Back in the day
What dates are now in the near future?
Next week is the deadline for the five-day Mid-Year Camp set of ICYE. This means that I have all other Voluntary reunion will and we can share our impressions and experiences gained so far.
It's also a rumor that our school is taking another volunteer. This will show in the next few weeks, I'll keep you informed.
is being said there are currently (at least not expected) not many dates. The second term runs until the end of April. Then we have another 4 weeks holiday.
On 15 March ends Samir's stay in Ghana. Leah and I will accompany him therefore to Accra to the airport. 
For two weeks, the holidays are over now, slowly and slowly can now be found again all the teachers and students in their classrooms one. I was frankly a bit difficult to dive back into life, after this long journey and with so much pleasure and great people. But I'm here to work, and at the end of the day it makes it anyway fun when you know that the children can give a little something on the road.
Samir, Lea and I arrange meanwhile very well in our three flat in the much laughed is. Every day there are common breakfast, lunch and dinner. We usually see any movies or series, or listen to some music very simple. Oh before I forget: I now want to leave a mustache, I think the time is something else ....

Cape Coast & 2010 Good Bye
It might sound strange, but from Cape Coast we have in these 5 days of our stay as good as seen nothing. Stand up has been 11-12 against the Clock afternoon. Then there was a hearty late breakfast or brunch as it now says so. After that first time a digestive nap. Against 14-15 Clock afternoon we went to the beach where it was also the first beer. 19-20 against it then went back to our hotel room where you got ready for the party night. What followed can certainly think of any. Therefore, the following days then started then also very similar.
On the evening of 31 December was So it into the Oasis Beach Resort, where the biggest party should rise in Cape Coast. In short: It was a great night and definitely the best ever New Year, I have experienced. No problems, no fights, no endless searching for the right party. There was too much to drink, good music and great people. go into this in detail is beyond the scope. I can only recall that I had some time with the band on stage and Hotel California Jam was released to the public, Samir has destroyed a local rapper in a rap battle to rule, and Alex at midnight by accident a guy kissing, because they have both targeted the same cheek. So we had to laugh somehow all a bit and the new year has started already with good feelings. 
Together with Samir and Alex in a hotel room living is like a never-ending comedy show. Whether cleaning the TV, teeth or a jam with guitar and drum table, there is always something to laugh about. Even the combination of a French-speaking Swiss, an American of times it is not proud of his country, and a German half Italian all the strange people in Cape Coast, he said was from Brooklyn, sounds promising, right?

A birthday in Accra
Samir, Leah and I finally arrived after five days on the beach in the loud and busy Accra to where we were picked up by a private chauffeur. It was in the area "East Legon, where live the rich and famous Accra. The property of "Grandma" as we affectionately refer to it as they see us as part of their family is in a gated community which makes one remember OC, However, not Ghana. Sleeping rooms with private bathrooms, a huge kitchen, living hall, swimming pool, etc. You could tell immediately that you were sitting here on the antique sofa of a great personality.
We have let ourselves go so well for two days, almost better than before on the beach. There was good food, good wine and interesting conversations. Samir's birthday we celebrated comfortable with cheese macaroni and cake at the pool.
Later that evening there was probably the best birthday present ever for Samir. Grandma gave her blessing for Samir's move to Leah's and my project. Samir had a difficult time in Accra in an unfriendly project with many problems. This is now so out of our two-a three-WG. It's gonna be legendary.
An invitation suggests is not sufficient. Especially not when the invitation comes from an influential and interesting person as our head teacher. This woman leads several aid agencies, has a school and works for the UN. A short impression:

Overjoyed then we went on the morning of the 29th December in Cape Coast, there to celebrate with our friends in the new year.

There was a joyful reunion with many ICYE volunteers, and I've obviously got more of Alex, Samir and Oliver Our daily routine then looked something like this:. After getting cozy and delicious breakfast on the beach was on the selfsame day lying around, swimming, surfing, volleyball, reading and listening to music spending. After a cool shower and change clothes there was a first class dinner, then to be launched at the bar with cocktails at a great time.
the morning of the 27th December it was said: pack up and say goodbye. For Alex, Leah, Samir, Tuulia and I was now on to Accra, because Leah and I an invitation from our school owner received, but they visit once in their property in Accra. More on that later. The remaining ICYE people went directly to Cape Coast, where should we finally all together celebrate the new year. Even more on that soon ...
On 22 December went to Lea and I, along with Douglas and his "Loszughana" volunteers on the way to the Legendary West Coast in Ghana. In a minibus fell from Tanoso on the direct road to Takoradi on the coast. There we parted ways, as Leah and I would meet with the other ICYE volunteers in the Green Turtle Lodge, while Douglas and the others should spend their time in nearby Busua.
It then went by taxi from Takoradi from Turtle to the door of the Green Lodge. Housed we were in comfortable cabins with large beds, from which you had a great view of the beautiful beach.
There was a joyful reunion with many ICYE volunteers, and I've obviously got more of Alex, Samir and Oliver Our daily routine then looked something like this:. After getting cozy and delicious breakfast on the beach was on the selfsame day lying around, swimming, surfing, volleyball, reading and listening to music spending. After a cool shower and change clothes there was a first class dinner, then to be launched at the bar with cocktails at a great time. general, we can recommend the Turtle Lodge only, it a relaxed atmosphere with pleasant staff and great food. On Christmas Eve, Alex and I have to indulge ourselves with side dishes such as lobster and white wine. Then there was a big bonfire on the beach with traditional drummers and dancers. In those five days are well gone so many funny moments and great about, you could fill it loosely five episodes of "How I met your mother" or, in other words, there was a lot of laughter.
