"I am a Buenos Airisser!" A special week

was three weeks ago it finally arrived:
On the evening of 29 March, I was quite excited at the airport and waited an eternity to my lovely parents. After more than an hour waiting time they were finally released from the barrier and the reunion was great. Although my parents were good, but unfortunately lost on the flight three of the four pieces of luggage. We were promised that the luggage would be delivered within the next two days to the hotel. By the time we had no idea what an odyssey before us, because of course the luggage appeared not to - not at first, not the second nor the third day. Accordingly, I cried for four mornings in a row with the airline, packed with rising anger my entire vocabulary of swear words in English and bitched me so long by the entire call center department, on the last day until I finally had the department head on the line. Lo and behold, after I had left out even with this "nice" men on the incompetence of his chaotic juice shop, stood in the morning (! Fact, four days late, but still) the case of my parents in the door. This hue and cry with the missing luggage, and therefore a somewhat annoying, ugly start with, but nevertheless we started to use the time together. So we did, for example, on the first afternoon, a sightseeing tour through the city and the sights of Buenos Aires. On this city tour Papa also coined the phrase "I am a Buenos Airisser!" , as he proudly on the route of the bus was able to follow a map, after which I was allowed to explain can the rest of the week, where each street was looking for and I would know me at all one day ;-)
Furthermore visited Mom and Dad of course, our flat, which my mother spontaneously as "n bit rancid, but sympathetic" betietelte. I guess they felt a little reminiscent of their dorm room ...
And then came the day when I took my parents to La Paloma. Once there, we unpacked the first time together with my colleagues all the charity luggage. Many friends from Germany have old football stuff, clothing, games, puzzles and ink boxes donated so total of two huge suitcases full of great things have come together. Thank you again here! all have incredibly pleased with the things. The football stuff is for special occasions such as birthdays repealed, and the games and puzzles have been immediately reflected in daily use. All of La Paloma is now on trying out the new games and I'm always busy trying to translate the German game instructions and explain. It was great, my parents, I can take with the project to show them everything and give you an idea of what my daily work is. In addition, the children and my colleagues were, of course also very excited to meet my family. The children were particularly impressed by the size of my parents. After a 6-year-old boy whispered to me "Merle, your dad is so 3x as big as me. Triggers are not the head on the door?"
Otherwise we spent the time with the typical Buenos Aires-activities: We were shopping, have a tango show visits were in the Boca Juniors Stadium and have a soccer match against Rosario seen (unfortunately, Boca lost 1-2), have been eating have made a day trip to Tigre and were even times in the opera, where we saw the premiere of "Fidelio".
went in the last week then again for three days to Iguazu, where we thanks to my roommate a few days earlier with his family flew to Iguazu, the contacts were conveyed to a driver who we then for the duration of our stay virtually as our Privatchaufeur committed. The good man drove us around, our restaurant where tips and even made a day trip with us, so we were able to Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina to travel in a day. Highlight of the trip was of course again the riiiiiiiiiiiesigen, beautiful waterfalls!
Well, and then bent down to visit my parents to a close, they flew back to Kiel, this time with complete Luggage.
It was too pretty to be a bit of time to have family around and shows above all how my life is here!
Now I still enjoy the last three months in the distance (yes, three months only! Time is runnig!) And then I'm looking forward also quite doll out of seeing all the nice people at home ...
